Rozakii

On Monday Drew and I were inducted as Rozakii's . The Rozakii's are an SCA household. Our induction ceremony is all big and secret much like a Fraternity or Sorority. So I can't discuss that to anyone let alone on the internet!

But I can tell you and show you that I put on armour and fought for the first time in my life!

The pictures below were taken by Lady Clodagh, Thanks!

...Kaitlyn did not like the sound of this!

She found herself still in that strange suspended hold, it was sucking her in! She was moving closer and closer to Nicton!

Finally she was able to mover her mouth enough to yell out " NOOOOOO!" and just as fast as she yelled, she felt her self falling to the ground from this strange force feild, and sat up from her bed quickly.

With relief she felt like that was just a dream. She turned back over, looked at her clock and realised it was now only 12:11 She thought this was strange because she though more time would have passed, diapointed that she still had a whole night ahead of her, she closed her eyes tightly and tried to get back to sleep. Again the not so silent noises started to fill her mind.

the dripping of the tap... the roar of the furnace ...the humm of the fridge... the ticking of the clock, the dripping of the tap... the roar of the furnace ...the humm of the fridge... the ticking of the clock, the dripping of the tap... the roar of the furnace ...the humm of the fridge... the ticking of the clock, the sobbing from downstairs. the dripping of the tap... the roar of the furnace ...the humm of the fridge... the ticking of the clock.... The Sobbing from DOWNSTAIRS???

She sat straight up! her heart began to pound. She just had to go downstairs.

When she got back down stairs she peered into the Kitchen, and she realized she hadn't dreamt anything at all! There was Nicton, Sobbing out his big puple eyes, using her mothers napkins to dry his big orange tears...

She, not so afraid of him now that she saw he was a sissy, wandered up to him and asked.

Mr. Nicton, Why are you crying???

Blog your own adventure.... A beginning!

Please read the previous post to this one so you know how to participate.... ThanksMerry Christmas everyone!~Becca~************************************************************************

It was midnight, It was officially Christmas!Kaitlyn wanted so badly to run downstairs and to see if Santa had put all her presents under the tree yet.... But she knew if she got out of bed, "HE" would know, That could chalk her up onto the "naughtly list" and Santa might not visit at all

As she laid there in bed she realized that the silence in the night wasn't so silent. She heard the water from the bathroom dripping, the clock in the hallway was ticking away each second, the fridge in the kitchen downstairs hummed on and off, and who knew a furnace could be so noisy???

She wondered how come she never took notice to all these noises during the day? She just couldn't sleep.Kaitlyn pulled her pillow over her head and held it tightly against her ear to drown out all the sounds. She closed her eyes so tight and just couldn't wait for morning. She was so excited, she knew she couldn't sleep. This was the thing she hated about Christmas the most!

Then all of a sudden, she heard a loud bang. Startled, she sat up out of bed and ....

Blog your own Adventure!

I havn't seen this done yet, But I thought I'd give it a try, maybe be the first to start it!

For fun, to increase reding traffic, inspired by superhappyjen's revolving stories, I would like to start "Blog Your Own Adventure!"

This is a way a way that we ( bloggers) can inter-blog with other people, It seems simple and this is how I think it would work.

1 Someone starts a story
2 someone ( another blogger or reader) leaves a comment and gives a choice Like " if you would like Wendy to pet the growling dog, follow "this link" to my blog" They continue the story on their own Blog
3 When you continue the story on your blog, leave a link to (a)the stoies beginning and (b)the link you just expanded your story from

I'm going to start a story and let whoever else who has a blog leave a comment with a link to their own blog to continue the story... Feel free to join in, read what other people write. If this works out, our stories and characters could have an infinate journey through the internet.

If Anyone has technical coments on how this process could be improved, Comment on this entry

That Guy has got a Gift!

Drew has always been one to shake all the presents under the tree to find out what they are. Over the years I've seen him figure out presents under his parents tree, In a way that always makes you realize he probably peeks before they ever get wrapped. No one could ever get them all right!

This Christmas I bought Drew several smaller presents as opposed to one really big one. I had 9 of them, all of them wrapped perfectly under the tree. I told him he could pick 1 out of the bunch to open today save all the others for later.

He then started pulling them all out one by one and inspecting them thourghly. Squishing, pinching, smelling and manipulating each package he finally picked out the one he wanted to open... A game of Connect Four. He said he picked that one cause he knew it was a game and he felt like playing.

Of course as soon as I finnished kicking his butt in three rounds and 20 minutes had past, he started begging to open more presents. I said No... More no... Then , Fine, You can open it if you can guess what it is correctly.

Would you belive he guessed 7 of the 9 presents correctly???? How does he do it???

Drew has definetly got a gift!
( Or 9 of them... 7 opened)

It's SO COLD outside!

Adam and Jen came down last night and we saw Lemmony Sniket (Very good, I suggest seeing it, and the credits at the end were cool!)

I'm so glad they came down cause it is SO COLD OUTSIDE... it was nice to have some company to not feel like your stuck inside.

We did go for a walk through dowtown anyway... it consited of jumping into any and every store that was open along the way, just to get some warmth and get the sting of the wind out of our cheeks... Jen scored some really nice stuff, a Gift for her F.S.I.L. and a gift for her self some really cool snake skin (not real) boots!

We concluded our walk with some snacks and hot chocolate from Tim Hortons... I think I learned why Timmies is monumental to Canadians on that walk. It really is a retreat from our weather extreams... nothing like sugary treats and hot drinks to rev you back up!

Poor Drew is still working like crazy on his Essays and studying for exams... I feel so sorry for him, his school year has been so drwan out.

Other than that I'm ready for Christmas... Only 2 More gifts to buy! Woo Hoo!

Bring it on

squeek, squeek, squeek!

Here I am writing a posting at 3:30 in the morning when I should otherwise be asleep. Why? Well let me tell you a bed time story.

Once upon a time in Rebecca & Drew's New House land Becca and Drew were fast asleep. Becca woke up to the sounds of a certain "Squeek! Squeek! squeek!" which only can be defined as mousey love making, only to realize that the house has been visited by random surprise fairy.

The random surpise fairy has indeed made other visits, most of which have been the result of many good surprises, But tonight I think she needed to settle the score .

Well anyway in my little story Rebecca wakes Drew to come and listen to the evidence of the surprise fairy's visit. Drew is not unlike a troll to be woken at such hours (just for your information trolls don't hear so good). So after lots of " There did you hear that?... How about that ?? Shhh! ... OK they are living in this corner here."

Andrew doesn't belive the Becca in his angry troll-like let me go back to sleep under my bridge kind of way.
Becca decides to stir up the mice to prove her sainity to the Drew troll by pounding on a wall of the forementioned corner.

As she finished her third pounding the fairy thought it would be humourous to rain down upon the becca all sorts of dust and debris.

Was this dut Fairy dust? Oh no it was lots of little mouse poo's!

They all came down through the cork board celing in all the little holes. At this point The Drew Troll laughed meniachly. He is evil I have decided. If your ever wondering what the moral of this story is, It is never try to prove your sanity, just insist your right and make the boy move your mattress without explaination.

So now lets hope after my shower and writing for a bit, I got enough excitment ( and excrement) out of me to go back to sleep.
Good night

The random surprise fairy makes a Christmas visit!

We caught a mouse... Yep we have to face the facts, the mice have come indoors for the winter again. They got us last winter and we drove them out... Now this winter they are back.... We really have to find how they are getting in!

Tonight Drew and I saw one scamper across our living room floor, Drew being the adventurous one that he is, ran after it.... After this the pulling out of several pieces of furniture... (My book case, a chair, the stove.... wich we even turned on to cause the mouse more discomfort)... Finally Drew caught it in a container....Alive and well. We decided to let it go, We took it for a ride.

Now I know a couple of you reading this will say yeah that's right let a mouse go free... It'll be beck in a day! But to get back to us it will have to cross a River and a Highway. I don't think it will take up residence in our house again... Good luck Mouse!

Our Tree

We don't have alot to decorate our tree with, so we've gotten creative. We have put so many little trinkets in the tree. OSme siver goblets, A toy cricket, wind chimes, clay masks, and a few small stuffed animals. We have also hung a few of our SCA site tokens, spools of thread, bracelets and necklaces. I personally love the monty python knight!

In Drews words " Our tree is obnoxious!"

We don't have a tree topper yet, so we have stuffed to cthulhu with his wings all spread out. A little different than an Angel (he he he)

When I get a chance I'll post some pictures

In other News... Amanda is down from London YEAH!

We hope to see her today or tomorrow..

I hope everyone is enjoying the Holidays!
